After we left to school, we found a hiking map about halfway to our main trail.
Nice small hills. Little did we know what was to come.
The first big hill we climbed gave this view. Impressive, but not as cool as the bigger hills.
Much broader view. By now most of us were quite tired. The switchbacks up the hill were ridiculous.
We're taking a moment to catch our breath. The rest of the way looked like it went on forever.
Finally at the top! I took a lovely panorama picture (my site's heading image). I could see all of San Marcos and even the beach.
Lovely class photo. We all made it to the top one way or another. I really felt accomplished, because I hate hikes, especially in the heat and sun.
